Accounting

Champlain College began as a business school, which is why it is not surprising that so many of our students study accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels. For adult students looking to future-proof their careers, the accounting field offers rewarding, professional opportunities across a variety of settings and at a number of levels – from entry-level bookkeeper or staff accountant to CFO.

Our graduates can be found in government, industry and not-for-profit organizations across the country, and many of them have gone on to become certified public accountants (CPAs) – enabling careers in corporate and public accounting – after completing 150 hours of academic coursework and sitting for a comprehensive national exam. Our goal at Champlain is to support you on your professional journey in this exciting field.
